What is a Live Painter?
Let me start with a story. I had the pleasure of being a vendor at the Metropolitan Bride Wedding Expo in January. I talked to HUNDREDS of couples and each one I asked the same question,"have you heard of a live wedding painter"? I received a few "I think so?" and a few yeses but about 99% of the brides said no.
So, now I will tell you all about what a live painter is. Well, it's exactly how it sounds. I come to an event and I paint it live while it happens. I get to be a fly on the wall during your event capturing the fun while it happens.
"How can I use a live painter?"
A live painter is a fun way to make your event stand out and your spacial day even more fun for your guests. You and your friends get to watch the most special moments you want captured transform from a blank canvas. The most important part, you get to pick what moment I paint. A few event ideas to have a live painter at:
Wedding
Office Party
Fundraising Event
Birthday Party
Your court hearing? (LOL KIDDING. You know those court room artists though...right?)
Basically any special moment in your life you want captured, while bringing a little extra sprinkle of pizzaz to your night, I will come and paint it.
"Will you be there?"
Yes! I come set up at your event and paint while it happens! If it is a wedding, I coordinate with the couple on when to arrive, the best place to set up, and work out any other logistics they or I need to know. I want you and your guests to come and watch the painting transform. It does not make me nervous to have people watch me paint, in fact I really want you to come and watch! Come say hi and join the fun.
"Will the painting be done by the end of the night?"
Yes, that is always my goal! Most receptions last about 4 hours and I always try to come an hour early (if possible) to get started before guests arrive. I want to assure you that I am not rushing and will not give you an unfinished painting. If there are a few tweaks that need to happen so that your painting is just right, I will take it home and add final details. Then I will deliver it to you! I want this painting to be perfect for you.
"So why should I get a live painting?"
If you are a sentimental sap like me, you love anything that captures the special moments in your life. It is such a unique keepsake after your event that you got watch the creation.
This is the piece that can be the staple of your home. When your friends and family visit, this piece will mean something to them too because they watched it transform. It takes you back to that special day.
